Komisař Niemans se opět vrací ve druhém díle působivého francouzského thrilleru Purpurové řeky. Režisér Olivier Dahan obsadil do hlavní role opět charismatického Jeana Rena (Ronin, Godzilla, Leon) a mladého parťáka hraje Benoît Magimel (Král tančí, Pianistka, Děti Století) scénář k filmu napsal Luc Besson a v jedné z vedlejších rolí se objeví Christopher Lee (Pán prstenů, Hvězdné války).
